here are a few pictures of family things in the house and neighborhood. the other day mr. hermann had his trees taken down, they built a brick wall around the yard. we don't like it but it isn't up to us. the one is of the birthday cards mother got. on saturday we cut the flowers out of the one garden, they grow like weeds! so hopefully next year they will spread out all over.

here are a few more pictures of kites taken from the 3rd annual kites over the lakeshore event. ben franklin was there handing out money! it was in bags of shredded money, i guess it said the total amount was $364.00 . enjoy.

here are a few of the kites that are flying on the lake. we will go again on sunday so we can get a better parking place and by then my batteries for the camera will be recharged.

my new chair

i have been waiting so long for this chair, i ordered it on july 15th and it finally came today! it was rather costly but well worth it. it is a rocker recliner. and it sits good in the middle of the back. here are 2 pictures, one is of the chair and the other is a close up of the material.
