new vacuum

my mother had wanted her living room carpet cleaned for along time, so a friend of hers had hers done and recommended my ma to get it done for free too. so the man came over and demoed his kirby vacuum and compared it to our hoover. what a difference! it wowed them so much that we decided to buy one. it is expensive but i think well worth the price to get the dirt out of the carpets. also does ceilings, carpet shampooer, furniture , mattresses etc.

togetherness

today my mother showed me how to make these things my grandma made when we were little. we got along pretty good, mother doesn't have patience to teach.

we were sitting in the porch on easter sunday and the folks had a old fashioned.

i was in the mood to put up some stuff for spring, this has been along winter. i went to get the box of easter decorations i made in ceramic class and i found this old pillow case of my sisters. it is in good condition.

here are a few pictures of the snow storm julia that came thru our way last week. we have a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain which left about an inch of ice on the sidewalks. the last 2 days we have had sun so it is melting but the ice isn't melting as fast as we would like.

by nature's way we have a swimming pool! usually our driveway has a puddle but this is alot!
